Camera mount for snowmobile helmet

If you ride a snowmobile, you usually film in the helmet you already have – an MX helmet, an adventure helmet, or a helmet with a visor. Our mounts are shaped to fit the helmet shell, attach with 3M VHB tape, and require neither screws nor holes.

Why a shell-fitted mount

• Follows the helmet's curves – no gap that causes vibrations in the footage
• 3M VHB tape, no holes in the shell
• GoPro standard – works with most action cameras
• Resistant to cold and wet snow

Before the snowmobile season

The season roughly runs from October to February, and you want the mount in place before the snow arrives. VHB tape bonds best at room temperature, so mount it indoors well in advance and let it sit overnight – not out in the garage the night before your first ride.

Below you will find mounts for helmet models popular among snowmobilers. If you ride a model not listed here – such as a dedicated snowmobile helmet from CKX, Ski-Doo, FXR, 509, or Castle X – you can choose the universal mount or order a mount customized for your helmet.

Frequently asked questions

Does the camera mount work in the cold?

Yes. The mounts are made of ABS and the tape is 3M VHB. Attach the mount indoors at room temperature and let it sit for a few hours before heading out – the tape needs warmth to bond properly to the shell. Once properly attached, it handles winter cold and wet snow.

My snowmobile helmet is not listed – what do I do?

You have two options. Either the universal mount, which fits most helmets with a reasonably smooth area to attach to. Or you can order a mount customized for your helmet model and write the brand and model in your order.

Do I need to drill into the helmet?

No. The mount attaches with 3M VHB tape. Never drill or screw into a helmet shell – it compromises safety.

Does the mount fit my GoPro?

The mount features the standard GoPro finger mount, which most action cameras use or have an adapter for. J-hook and cleaning wipe are included.

Can I have the camera on my helmet in a snowmobile race?

Always check with the federation or organizer to see what is allowed on the helmet in that specific race. The rules vary.
